Engineering Director Steve Smith raises over £1600 for the British Heart Foundation

The 40th anniversary of the famous Weston Beach Race got underway at the weekend with hoards of skillful bikers taking to Weston-Super-Mare’s seafront for the ultimate motorsport race.

Agg-Pro’s Engineering Director, Steve Smith, was amongst those racing to raise money in memory of his mother, Ann Smith, who unexpectedly passed away from heart disease last year.

The British Heart Foundation has helped to halve the number of people suffering from heart and circulatory disease, but heart disease remains one of the biggest killers in the UK. Thanks to Steve and his incredible supporters, £1685 has been raised for the charity. That equates to over 140 hours of research for the BHF!

The fantastic charity responded to Steve’s fundraiser commenting, “Amazing stuff team! Thank you for your incredible support.”

Every pound raised funds life-saving research, supports those affected by heart and circulatory diseases, and helps educate communities about the importance of heart health.

We have no doubts that Steve has done Ann very proud. Well done, Steve!
