The next machine in the spotlight this month is the Tesab 800i Jaw Crusher, introduced by our Tesab specialist for the South West, Darren Robinson.
1) Can you introduce us to the 800i?
The Tesab 800i is the largest model in the Tesab range, weighing 63 tonnes.
Based on the proven 10580, the 800i incorporates a 1100mm x 800mm single toggle jaw and a two-deck independent grizzly feeder complete with a 2-way dirt chute. The jaw is direct-driven powered by a 340Kw / 455Hp CAT C9.3B-T4 powerpack .
This machine is capable of producing in excess of 400 tonnes per hour in a hard rock application giving an impressive reduction ratio to match.
We currently have the Tesab 800i for sale in our used equipment inventory.

2) What can you tell us about Tesab Engineering?
With over 30 years experience, Tesab Engineering are widely renowned as aggregate crushing specialists around the world. They are currently represented in over 30 countries offering jaw crushers for primary rock, impact crushers for primary, secondary & tertiary applications, and cones for secondary and tertiary crushing.
3) What makes the 800i stand out?
There are many features that help this hard rock jaw stand out for its competitors. Its two-step vibrating grizzly feeder vastly improves material separation at the front end. Furthermore, it has an uncomplicated operating procedure and an 1820mm jaw chamber to maximise the compression time within the chamber for increased reduction capabilities.
This crusher incorporates a 3.8m discharge height from the main belt, maximising stockpiling capability. As standard, the 800i comes with a telescopic dirt belt, 15mm thick Hardox liners in the hopper, and height adjustable jacking legs, adding to its impressive specification.
4) What is a jaw crusher?
A jaw crusher typically crushes stone through compression crushing between a fixed and a swinging jaw. This particular jaw crusher is designed to crush primary rock at the quarry face giving a reduction ratio of 6:1 in excess of 400 tonnes per hour.
5) Where have you seen the 800i in action?
I have seen the 800i in action many times, mostly in hard rock applications. What impresses me about this crusher is how solid it is when crushing. A huge jaw chamber and flywheel gets the job done, without excessive vibration transmitted throughout the rest of the machine & chassis - which I see all too often in competitors' machines!
The 800i truly is a tank and will outperform any of its competitors in this class.

6) Why would a customer choose the 800i over a competitor's machine?
In any hard rock application, the 800i gives unrivalled production and reduction figures . It really is a solid unit.
Tesab's own company slogan epitomises what this crusher represents, "Engineered for Power, Built to Last”
7) What should a customer do if they want to learn more about the 800i?
