Agg Pro 25

Centrally located in the Midlands, Agg Pro was founded in 1996 to provide a personal, customer focused approach to the supply of equipment for the quarrying and recycling industries.

2021 marks the 25th anniversary of the company and despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Agg Pro continues to experience increasing demand for machinery and parts.

A stroll down memory lane

Geoff Caves, MD and owner of Agg Pro began his career at the age of 16 in the construction industry.

He started out working on maintenance and the manufacturing of quarry, asphalt and concrete plants, along with mobile equipment. Geoff was well and truly dedicated to his trade and would typically work a 7-day week to ensure the job was done.

In 1996, Agg Pro was born, initially focusing on service and maintenance, it wasn’t long until small equipment dealerships were added to the portfolio.

McCloskey International and Gipo come on board

Building on this success, 2002 was a milestone year that saw the agreement of an exclusive dealership with Swiss company Gipo, manufacturers of high-end mobile crushing and screening equipment.

Geoff’s experience and knowledge, along with the reputation Agg Pro had already developed for superior aftersales support and service, meant it was a straightforward decision for Gipo.

The agreement paid dividends within the first few months as a major Blue Chip UK company purchased 3 machines in a deal that was worth $1,000,000. As a result, Agg Pro’s profile within the industry was significantly enhanced, leading to a further increase in machine sales.

2008 would prove to feature another watershed moment for the company as exclusive territories were agreed with another top machinery manufacturer, McCloskey International Ltd.

The breadth and depth of the offering via McCloskey International Limited meant Agg Pro could offer its customers a range of products that was the envy of many in the industry.

Covering England, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, the agreement was a significant coup for the company and was the spring board for many years of successful trading in these areas.

To this day the relationship with both McCloskey International Ltd and Gipo continues to go from strength to strength, this is no more evident than in the year-on-year sales increases both brands have experienced via Agg Pro.

Infrastructure continues to grow too

Over this 25 year period, the size of the operation at Agg Pro has had to increase to cater for the additional demand. The setup now boasts workshops that span 40,000 square feet, multiple offices and a large storage yard at the HQ in Tamworth.

Equipped with cranes, welding equipment, fabrication amenities and a top team of experienced & dedicated engineers, Agg Pro is fully prepared for any machine repairs, maintenance and servicing.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our valuable customers who have made this possible by putting their trust in Agg Pro.

Here’s to many more years of working together to meet your ongoing quarrying and recycling needs.
